Not really a recipe or invention, just a good kitchen tip that I have not seen or heard from any one else before:

When transfering the entire contents of a pot or pan to another vessel, rotate the pouring pan a full 360 degrees at the end of the pour, and it greatly reduces the tendency for drips of the liquids to run down the side of the pan. Especially helpful if the now emptied pan is to be returned to the heat source.
