Cutting Garlic Paper Thin In Seconds

Another recipe helper/technique. Forget about the razor shaving system from Goodfellas! Use a stainless steel adjustable truffle shaver (available from Williams Sonoma and the like for about 13 bucks) and shave off your garlic from the clove right into the pan without smelly fingers, a knife, or having to clean a cutting board. Very fast. Works for other small, hard veggies, like shallots. Just make sure to watch your fingers toward the nub end of the thing being sliced.
