Discover good music that you might like

Completely non-commercial underground music archive where only the highest quality submissions are posted. Finding music on the Internet is easy. Finding music that you like is a kin to finding the right needle in a huge stack of needles.
My idea is to create a web site where unknown artists can submit their best work to a board of content editors with expertise in a particular field (or fields) of music. Board members consisting of journalists, musicologists, engineers, genre and content experts (i.e. super-fans), college professors and musicians would listen to submissions relevant to their genre of interest. These board members would rate each submission based on an approved published rating system. Community members could apply for a board position, and based on what they can bring to the table, they will be given content manager status on the site. Who better to review (and potentially bless) the creative output of a new progressive rock band than someone with 1,000 yes albums who still goes to see ELP?
The site would be searchable by genre. The net result would be the absolute cream of the crop in terms of content produced by artists without label support.
Monetization would come in the form of capitalizing on traffic generated by very high quality free music

I think you are right. I have been in contact with the people that run this site, and from my questions and their answers to same, it seems that that is one of the uses they intend, or at least that is what seems to be happening here. "ioi", there are a bunch of songs posted on this site that are new and not widely available. You can rate these songs, if you want, and in addition to the other types of ideas, inventions, et cetera, new and original music has a home on MyIdea.Net.
I might sound like a spokesperson, but you and anyone can publish music and videos and establish your copyright to them right now, no lawyers, no agents, for the fee of a buck. Play that Condolezza song (which is corny but catchy), and rate it. I liked it, for what that's worth. Or if you have something new, post it here.
