Save fuel and decrease automobile congeston. My Idea is to devote a specific lane at major toll plazas where asking directions is permitted. Doing so (asking for directions)at the reminaing lanes would be discouraged or simply not available. At the designated (direction/information) lane, the toll personnel are properly qualified to give directions, and limited (sponsored) maps are perhaps given out upon request. McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, Quizos, could sponsor the map to be given out providing local roads, for example, but which also might guide travellers to the nearest Mickey D's, Wendy's, Burger King, Quiznos, etc. A Google(tm) local map printout could be a mechanism. Placed near or at the far right of toll plazas, such a thing could eliminate confusion and traffic in the remaining lanes, and be an outlet for advertising directed toward very targeted individuals when they are most in need of informaton. Outsourcing the actual service(s) provided by good government such as the operation of our roads themselves may not be a great idea, but maybe selling some limited ad space in exchange for value provided to the public might be. . .

Not a Bad Idea However, Why Not just buy a portable GPS System.

I have a built in GPS System in my 2006 Nissan 350z
